Apple’s September event is approaching, and grounded on leaks, it promises significant upgrades, especially for the Pro Models. The new iPhones will feature larger batteries, larger displays, and advancements to address overheating issues. also, a 48 MP Ultra wide camera, new color options, streamlined Mac safe wireless charging, briskly charging pets, new A18 and A18 Pro chips, thinner bezels, a new prisoner button, and WiFi-7 connectivity are anticipated upgrades. These advancements make a compelling case for upgrading this time.
Based on all the leak updates we have received, Apple’s huge September event is now just one month away and, especially for the Pro Models, I absolutely believe this will be among the best improvements in many years.

So in this article I’m going to share 10 reasons that just might be enough to get you to upgrade this year so let’s start off with reason number one
1: Larger Battery
This year we are finally getting significantly larger batteries we just got a brand new leak that came out a couple of days ago with an incredibly exciting battery update. First of all the regular iPhone 16 Pro is going to have a battery that’s 9.25% larger than before which is just crazy and the pro Max model 5.74% bigger. The major issue now is how Apple will be able to raise the 16 Pro Models’ somewhat low battery capacity. Well it’s a combination of two different upgrades the first one is Apple’s new stacked battery cell technology which is a whole lot more safe than the current Tech because it doesn’t swell as much and it allows Apple to basically pack in more mAh of battery juice within the same battery size.
2: Bigger Screen Dimentions
The second thing is the fact that the 16 pro and pro Max models will be getting bigger in terms of the actual dimensions specifically just a little bit wider and a lot taller which brings us into reason number two. Larger displays on the Pro Models the 16 Pro is going up from 6.1 in to 6.3 so it’s gaining .2 in of display size while the 16 Pro Max is going from 6.7 to 6.9. Keep in mind that it’s mostly just getting taller thus it’s not really changing your grip on the phone; thus, even if the phone’s going to be kind of difficult to hold in your hand, the aspect ratio of the display is growing which could be a negative thing for let’s say viewing videos since you’re going to have bigger bars on the side. But if you’re scrolling through Tik Tok or through the web you’re going to have more screen real estate which is going to be really nice.
3: Fix overheating Issues
Now getting into number three upgrade apple is finally going to fix the overheating problem that we’ve had for many years ever since the iPhone 12’s A14 ship that started to use a lot more powe. We got a recent leak from the information that pointed to Apple making a huge internal upgrade on the iPhone 16 model. Now including a larger graphite sheet inside of the chassis to help reduce overheating and this actually matches an older leak from kutami on Twitter claiming that the iPhone 16 series will feature a new thermal design using graphine which has higher thermal conductivity than copper. Now I don’t know about you but I absolutely hate when you’re outside and your phone overheats. You start getting display dimming you can’t see anything on the display it’s just terrible so I’m very excited for this change.
4: Upgrade in Ultra-Wide Camera
But now here’s one of the biggest reasons that I am personally going going to upgrade this year which is reason number four the 48 MP Ultra wide camera is coming for sure on the Pro Models. The current 12 MP Ultra wide is very out dated it hasn’t changed for years and it honestly sucks compared to the other big camera upgrades that we got with in the main and with the telephoto so with that said how will the new 48 MP Ultra wide fix it well first of all it is going to have a much larger sensor which instantly takes in more light especially when Apple’s going to use pixel binning which takes the 48 MP sensor and it splits it up into four chunks and combines those all together to shoot a 12 MP photo which combines all that light into one so it’s a lot better for low light photos.
5: Color Upgrade
Now for reason number five: we anticipate a brand-new bronze or other hue leaked from many distinct sources. Some shared it and referred to it as the pink gold. Some just called it the rose. Some called it the desert or the desert yellow but it’s pretty clear that we are finally getting the gold finish back on the new iPhone 16 Pro Models Since Apple abandoned it with the new 15 Pro and started using titanium I’m very happy with this since it kind of reminds me of when Apple unveiled it. iPhone 10 and they got r of that nice gold color and everybody really wanted it. They brought the gold back when they released the 10s; they only had the silver and a grey space.
6: Mac Safe Upgrade
Now quickly pivoting over to number six we are finally getting an update to Mac safe with a brand new thinner coil or thinner design and faster charging speed. We’re now finally getting 20 W Mac safe wireless charging and I think it’s coming this year for sure because we now finally have 20 charging on the market which is basically identical to Mac safe. it works the same way and it even has the same 15 W charging speed so if Apple wants to keep selling their licensing they have to do something exclusive with Mac safe and raise it up to 20 watts for official Mac save compared to G2 now on top of that we are also expecting 40W wireless charging and I’m very excited because right now the charging is very limited and now with the new changes with the new graphite sheet that helps with he dissipation as well as the new stacked battery cell all of that should help reduce the Heat and finally allow for a charging boost up to 40 W.
7: A18 Bionic Chip
For reason number seven we naturally have the new A18 and A18 pro chips which will greatly improve performance with the new N3e technology from TSMC and created with apple intelligence AI in mind. With it having a new neural engine which I think they’re going to upgrade it on these new models and Apple intelligence, in my opinion, will be quite significant this year and set off a long-lasting upgrading cycle.
8: Less Bezzeles
Turning now to number eight, we are obtaining extremely small bezels on the 16 Pro Models using new BRS border reduction technology, which should bring the bezels down to only 2 mm on the 16 Pro and 1.15 on the 16 Pro Max. With 1.71 and 1.5 5 mm bezels, this is shockingly great improvement over the 15 Pro Models.
9: New Capture Button
Now for reason number nine: we are at last substituting a new capture button right here for the location of the 5G antenna. Thus, it will be a physical button with two stops; if you half push it, you will concentrate on your picture and then full press to capture it. Which is pretty cool that’s how DSLR cameras work or you could also use it to kind of long press to record video especially if you want to do spatial videos which Apple’s pushing right now. It’s also going to have a touch surface so you may rather swipe left and right to zoom in and out—really very natural.
10: WiFi-7 Technology
Now for number 10 we have Wifi 7 and this is actually a really huge deal because the new Wi-Fi 7 can now connect to all three bands at the same time including 2. 4. 5. and 6 GHz bands and it seamlessly switches between them and the cool thing is that you no longer have to set up your router and set up three different Wi-Fi names with potentially different passwords for each band you now just make one Wi-Fi connection that has all three of the Bands built in seamlessly integrated and switching between them which makes it a whole lot more simple and it makes it so much more useful than Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E.
